DON'T DO IT!!!! - Extra Space Storage


Since I stored my belongings in the Culver City ESS they have raised my rates approx. every 2 months so I now pay $230 a month for my 10x10 unit. In addition, I just received this notice via email - this should be criminal:

We are making some changes to your lease for storage unit #XXXX at our facility located at 5855 W Centinela Ave, Los Angeles, CA, 90045 and want to make sure you were informed. These changes include the following:

· Any disputes between you and Extra Space Storage , other than those excepted, will be decided via neutral binding arbitration, as more specifically set forth in the Arbitration Addendum attached hereto. However, you may choose to opt out of the terms of the Arbitration Addendum. If you choose to opt out of the Arbitration Addendum by signing and returning the attached Arbitration Addendum to your Extra Space Storage facility by no later than July 1, 2013. Absent such notification, you will be deemed to have accepted the terms contained in the Arbitration Addendum.

· In addition to any other requirements of applicable law, Owner shall post information relating to any public or private sale resulting from Owner%u2019s enforcement of its lien at the following website: http://auctions.extraspace.com. In the event that the terms of your current lease and the above changes conflict, the terms above govern. If any of these terms are not acceptable to you, you may terminate your lease and vacate the premises within thirty (30) days of the date of this letter. Absent such termination, the modifications to your current lease will be effective as of July 1, 2013.
